Mrs Mosaic putting the pieces together June News!

Hi there,

Firstly, welcome and hello to new subscribers. I’m even more surprised than you are to have a newsletter going out so soon after my last one, but I’ve a few things I want to share with you before the Summer (that’s a joke now weatherwise) is upon us.

As my regular students already know, I plan to have a break from teaching classes this summer, but last week looking at the calendar, I realised I’m only taking 3 weeks off! During that time, I haven’t been planning to be idle and am already putting things on the ‘to do list’.  Of course, that’s before I get my arm twisted into trips to London and Ikea with my daughter who getting ready to move to London to start her degree in Contemporary Dance.

Before August though, I’ve a few things in the pipe line I thought might be of interest so read on.

New Copperfoil Glass Mushrooms Classes - starting in July!

The mushrooms have landed!

I’ve been playing with ideas for ways to introduce some copperfoil classes for a long time, and these mushrooms are perfect for a complete beginner to have a bit of fun, discovering the basic techniques and leaving with something cute to hang with pride.

These classes will be two and a half hours long, and you can expect to complete 3 mushrooms to take away with you on the day. I’ve scheduled some dates in the Autumn at £40 pr head (maximum 3 students per class) however, I’ve squeezed a few dates at a special introductory price before the Summer. see below; If you’d like to take advantage of the introductory offer, please send me an email or click on the link below to book.

The Salvation Army Hub Cafe Summer Fayre, Saturday 15th June,

I’m delighted to be taking part for the 2nd year in this fayre, always a great atmosphere and I’ll be honest, even if the weather is a bit damp, I’m super excited about seeing animals from the Rare Breeds Centre.

‘We are counting down to our A Pop-Up Market at The Hub Café!On Saturday 15th June, we’ll be welcoming local businesses to showcase their unique or custom, handmade artisan produce at our new Pop-Up Market. Shop beautifully handcrafted homeware, deliciously decadent cake, and one-of-a-kind gifts.Following the retail therapy, enjoy free family activities, a special menu at the Hub Café, and the opportunity to meet some of the animals from Hadleigh Rare Breeds Centre!’

Lazy Days Festival, Saturday 27th July

I’ve been selected to have a stall in the local sellers’ tent at this music festival. I’ve not been to this event before, in fact I’m not sure it’s happened before, so something new for me. I’m hoping I can get to listen to some great live music, whilst being nicely sheltered, as this year’s weather is hard to predict.

Old Leigh Artist Market 09

I’ve taken part in this for a few years, which includes lots of live demonstrations by local artists. It happens on two bank holiday Mondays each year.  May’s one sadly got rained out this year and I couldn’t make the rescheduled date, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed for the next one Monday 26th August. Please put it in your dairies to pop down and say hi and look around.

Finally, a reminder, I’m busy adding new things to the website weekly, so hit the button below to find out more.

If you know of someone who might enjoy this newsletter, please feel free to forward this on.
