Ignite your creative spark and immerse yourself in a day of crafting as you design and make a small mosaic garden mirror. Explore the art of mosaic creation from conceptualising your unique design to skilfully cutting and arranging tiles. Learn the process of mixing adhesives and mastering application techniques.

By the end of the day you will have created a finished piece to take home, brining a touch of individuality and charm to brighten the corner of your garden.

Festive Mosaic Stars with Nicola aka Mrs Mosaic

 

Welcome to the main hall at Hadleigh Old Fire Station where you will create a stunning mosaic star decoration suitable for indoor and outdoor use (once grouted). In this fun workshop you will spend time refining your design then applying it to the star base.

​

There will be a short demonstration of how to grout your piece once you have completed applying your tile design and you will then be given a 'goody' bag with your choice of chosen grout colour to complete this stage at home at least 24 hours after the class (the glue needs 24 hours to fully cure/set) This will then provide your star with a weatherproof finish so you can display it outdoors if you wish.

 

Suitable for beginners with all materials and refreshments provided.

Join us for a delightful one-day Christmas mosaic workshop amidst the enchanting setting of RHS Garden Hyde Hall. Design and create four seasonally themed decorative mosaic pieces. Whether you're new to the art of mosaics or simply looking to embrace the seasonal spirit alongside like-minded individuals, this promises to be a day filled with festive fun and creativity.

Under the expert guidance of tutor Nicola Upton from Mrs Mosaics, you'll explore laying and design techniques and learn how to choose suitable materials, bases, and adhesives. There will be a demonstration on grouting, enabling attendees to complete their pieces at home. Once your designs are weatherproofed, they'll sparkle with cheer, ready to brighten any indoor or outdoor space with their festive charm.

All materials are provided for this workshop including grout, hanging wires and storage box

During this one-day Christmas mosaic workshop you will make four seasonally themed decorative pieces This is a fun day for people new to mosaics or those just wanting to make some festive items in the company of other similarly minded creatives.

​

You will be introduced to laying and design techniques with guidance on suitable materials, bases and glue. There will be a demonstration of grouting so attendees can see how to weatherproof their mosaics to complete their designs at home.
