Want to learn how to make a mosaic or stained glass panel?

Throughout the year I run multiple mosaic art classes and stained glass workshops for everyone, beginners, hobbyists and artists. You can book a class for yourself, for you and a friend or alternatively you could buy someone a gift card.

All materials are supplied and you get to keep your finished piece. I strive to create a happy friendly atmosphere while we create, my testimonials are testament to this.

Classes can only run with a minimum of two participants, if a class is cancelled due to low numbers transfer to a new date will be offered or a refund.

Use of tools and materials:

 

  • Students have access to tools and basic mosaic materials whilst attending the class. This does not include stained glass, smalti, or marble. Colour matching may not always be possible, students should bear this in mind if they continue making beyond lesson times.

  • No open toed shoes please!

  • Bathroom available on the first floor only.

  • Gift cards are available.

"Explore your design skills in this short workshop to create a festive mosaic star. There will be a short demonstration of how to grout a piece and you will leave with full instructions on how to grout it to make it weatherproof to go outside once complete".

Join us for a delightful one-day Christmas mosaic workshop amidst the enchanting setting of RHS Garden Hyde Hall. Design and create four seasonally themed decorative mosaic pieces. Whether you're new to the art of mosaics or simply looking to embrace the seasonal spirit alongside like-minded individuals, this promises to be a day filled with festive fun and creativity.

Under the expert guidance of tutor Nicola Upton from Mrs Mosaics, you'll explore laying and design techniques and learn how to choose suitable materials, bases, and adhesives. There will be a demonstration on grouting, enabling attendees to complete their pieces at home. Once your designs are weatherproofed, they'll sparkle with cheer, ready to brighten any indoor or outdoor space with their festive charm.

All materials are provided for this workshop including grout, hanging wires and storage box.

During this one-day Christmas mosaic workshop you will make four seasonally themed decorative pieces This is a fun day for people new to mosaics or those just wanting to make some festive items in the company of other similarly minded creatives.

You will be introduced to laying and design techniques with guidance on suitable materials, bases and glue. There will be a demonstration of grouting so attendees can see how to weatherproof their mosaics to complete their designs at home.
